Workday UAT / Property Mappings
Testing Overview#
Workday User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is used to confirm that student application data is syncing correctly from Element451 to Workday.
During testing, you should validate that:
- the sync can be triggered successfully from Element451
- the application is created in Workday
- required student/application values are populated correctly
- errors are visible in the Integration Log
- Workday-generated values are written back into Element451 after they become available
Testing Element451 → Workday#
Preparation#
Create test student records in Element451 with applications. These records should represent a wide range of scenarios used by your institution.
Note: These records should be removed before go-live as they are test records.
Testing#
Follow the steps in How to Sync Records (Workday) to trigger a sync.
Validate Data in Workday#
Once a record has synced successfully:
- Review the record in Workday
- Compare values using the Field Mappings section.
- Validate:
- Element451 fields (slugs)
- Corresponding Workday fields
The Field Mappings reflect the standard integration configuration. If your implementation includes customizations, use this as a baseline and add any additional validation checks as needed.

Workday → Element451 Returned Values#
Some values are written back to Element451 after Workday processes the application.
| Workday Property | Element451 Profile Field | Element Slug |
|---|---|---|
| Student Reference ID (with a type of Student_ID) | School Id & Workday SIS ID | user-identities-school-id & user-identities-workday-sis-id |
| Email_Address (with a type of “INSTITUTIONAL”) | School Email | user-identities-school-email |
The delayed lookup process retrieves the student application data from Workday and extracts the Student Reference ID and institutional email when they become available .
