Sources (opens in a new tab) can be used in a variety of ways. Element451 automatically creates a Source object for a Person record when the record is created by one of the Element451 features (Application, Form, Survey, Event). In this way, Sources denote attribution for record creation. Sources can also be manually created or imported. These "custom" Sources can be used to denote attribution for a variety of conversions according to the user's configuration.

Sources are stored as an array on the Person record. This model unwinds the Sources array into rows.

alias	String	For CUSTOM source type, Source Name of the source.
event_date	String (Timestamp)	For EVENT source type, Timestamp when the event occured.
index_weight	Integer	Integer representing the source's position in it's parent array.
item_id	String	For EVENT source types, identifier for the registration that generated the source.
name	String	For EVENT and APP source types, name of the application or event that generated the source.
properties	Object	Additional properties related to the source, inherited from the asset that generated the source.
segment	String	For CUSTOM source type, the Source Segment of the source.
timestamp	String (Timestamp)	Timestamp when the source was created.
type	String	Category of milestone, like "WEB", "CUSTOM", or "EVENT".
url	String	For WEB source type, URL at which the form submission that created the WEB source occured.
