Make lets you connect Element451 with over a though of the most popular apps, so you can automate your work and have more time for what matters most—no code required. View the Element451 Make App page and then follow the instructions below to start building your integration.

Building your Scenario

The first thing to decide is what you want your scenario (process) to do. This could be an action based on receiving an incoming webhook or outside event or action, or it could be something that is on a reoccurring schedule. Make allows for both importing data to Element451, and when combined with the webhook module from Element451, easily exporting data. You will need a specific feature token to use with the Make integration, which can be provided by the customer success team.

Action Type Function
Add Activity Action Adds a new activity to an existing user.
Add a Task Action Adds a new task. This can be associate with an existing user or just a to-do item.
Add a Note Action Adds a new note to an existing user.
Add an External User Event Action Adds an external user event to an existing user.
Create Conversation Action Sends a message from a user into the Conversations inbox. A new conversation will be created. The user must exist in Element451 and have a profile email address that matches the incoming email address.
Create Form Submission Action Creates a new submission for a selected form. A new user is created or an existing user is updated based on the provided email address.
Import Data Action Imports data using an import template from your Element451 Instance. This can be used to create new records or update an existing record.
Export Data Action Exports data using an export template from your Element451 Instance.
Find a User ID Search Searches for an Element451 ID using an email address.
Make an API Call Action Performs an arbitrary authorized API call to Element451.

Note: The universal API call will allow you to make any API call to the Element451 API. However, you will need to create an API key under security settings in Element451 to use this feature. Full API documentation can be found at https://api.element451.com/

Combining Rules, Webhooks, and Make

When you want to send data to an external system, rules and webhooks within the Element451 platform allow for a very flexible and powerful interaction with Make. Using rules, you can trigger a webhook call when specific actions occur, like an application is submitted.  To learn more about setting up rules and workflows, please visit the Element451 help center article.

Within Make, you would create a new webhook and use the provided URL for the webhook URL in Element451. With the webhook, you can either export data using a template, or for more advanced integrations JSON. You can then use Make to modify and send the data to almost any system. If there isn’t a prebuilt application for it, they also support generic API calls!
